  1. Summer Dance Camp 2017
    10.00am to 12.30pm daily @ Leopold Community Hub Studio
    Have fun this Summer in our 2 Day Dance Program for children. Participate in an exciting range of dance activities and learn some fun routines with Miss Sally and Miss Georgia. Dress up, meet new friends and have fun on the holidays. Great opportunity to introduce your child to dancing for the New Year! $70 for the 2 Day Program. Suitable for children from 2 to 8 yrs. Mini concert for families at the end! Book with us today!

  2. Enrolment Day
    10:00am to 12.00 noon @ Leopold Community Hub Studio
    Come along to the Leopold Community Hub to enrol yourself or your child in our exciting dance classes for 2017. Students for our Potato Shed and Leopold Hub students should enrol on this day. Bring along your Term 1 fees and complete the enrolment form to ensure you are all set for dance classes! Contact us to receive your Student Handbook 2017 with all relevant details. Get a head start to dancing and meet your teachers!

  3. Pako Festa - Parade and Outdoor Stage Performance
    Day Event @ Pakington St, Geelong West
    Pako Festa is an annual festival held in Pakington St, Geelong West and is a celebration of Cultural Diversity. Our students will be walking in the Street Parade in colourful costumes and wave excitedly to the crowds. Students will also perform some dance routines on an outdoor stage proudly representing Dance Initiative Productions. Street Parade starts at 11.00am (assembly at 10.00am). Outdoor Stage Performance time TBC.

  4. Barwon Heads Festival of The Sea
    Day Event @ Barwon Heads by the River
    Dance Students will perform with the support of their teacher and alongside characters from Pearson Pantomime Productions 'Roger's Jolly Pirate Adventure'. Our dances will be integrated into a theatrical pirate story for family audiences. The performances will take place on the outdoor performance area in Kids Zone. Performance Times to be confirmed.

  5. Pumpkin Fair
    Day Event @ 'The Paddock' in Leopold
    Encompass Community Services are holding their 3rd Annual Pumpkin Fair at 'The Paddock', 21 to 29 O'Halloran Rd in Leopold. Entertainment will take place on a stage where our dancers will perform a theatrical dance act with a fun story including scarecrow, pumpkin and black bird characters! Pumpkin Fair is a family event with activities, market stalls galore, a petting zoo and a pumpkin pageant! Note there is a gold coin donation entry for families attending the fair. Performance time to be confirmed.

  2. Mother's Day Fundraiser Due
    Usual Class Times
    Our fundraisers contribute to enriching our students learning and performance opportunities. Profits from our fundraisers directly fund materials and services for our concerts including beautiful set pieces and important theatre costs as well as Student Award Medals for our End of Year Production. All dance families are asked to take part in our fundraising programs to support and enhance the performing arts experience for students.

    3.00 to 4.30pm @ Leopold Community Hub Studio
    We celebrate our wonderful Mums in this special dedicated Studio Concert by our beautiful dance students. Dancers tell their original story of 'The Magic Garden' through dance and music. All tickets are $6.00 and include tea/coffee and a piece of slice after the concert. Great opportunity to bring along proud Grandparents to celebrate Mother's Day!

  4. Family Fun Day - Potato Shed Festival
    Day Event @ Potato Shed Multi-Arts Centre
    Family Fun Day is a Free Event inviting families from across the Bellarine, Geelong and beyond to enjoy an exciting day of activities and entertainment for all. Our dancers perform annually on the outdoor performance space before a supporting crowd. This year students will present their dancing in a short theatrical story of dance and music facilitated by their teacher. Performance time to be confirmed.

  6. Whole School Production Rehearsal
    2.00 to 3.00pm @ Potato Shed Theatre
    All dance students participating in the 'Dreams of Africa' End of Year Dance Production must attend this important Whole School Rehearsal. This rehearsal will provide students with knowledge about the theatre, important practice time on stage and other important information about their concert. Students will rehearse in costume therefore all correct attire and hair must be worn for this rehearsal.

  1. Dance Production 'Dreams of Africa'
    2.00pm Performance @ Potato Shed Theatre
    'Dreams of Africa' features our 2017 students in their End of Year Production Spectacular. Share the imagination of our delightful dancers and join them on an African Safari across the savannah! Meet wonderful animals and characters in our original theatrical story told through dance and drama. Performed at The Potato Shed Theatre, Drysdale. 2.00pm concert. Tickets $17.00 each. Book at the Potato Shed Box Office. Ph. 03 5251 1998. (Note: Student arrival time for rehearsals and costumes to be confirmed).

  2. End of Year Break Up Celebration
    12.00 noon to 1.00pm @ Leopold Community Hub Studio
    Celebrate our successful year as a dance community at the Leopold Studio. All students and immediate families are invited to attend. Get together to meet with other parents and share stories from our year in dancing. Some special presentations will be announced as well as news for the following year. All students are invited to take part in our Kris Kringle. Tea/coffee/cordial provided. Please bring along a plate of food to share.
